She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Eugene "Gene" Hartman and Loretta Decker (McKinney Hartman); and her brother Johnny Hartman. She is survived by: her husband Dan Bornmann; her children, Lois Bornmann, Caleb Bornmann and Wendy Bornmann (Lincoln); her siblings, Ken (Dee Hartman), Twyla (John Andrus), Lois (James Wies) and Janice (Keith Manka); and her stepfather Glen Decker (Kearney).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Stroke Association.
