Marisa Carlson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marisa Carlson of Central City, Nebraska, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom McHargue and Gloria McHargue (Hruban); her parents-in-law, Ned and Bonnie Carlson; and her sister-in-law Karen Carlson.

She is survived by: her husband Jeff Carlson; her daughter Shyla Carlson; her grandchildren, Rubie and Scarlett; her children, Nathan Carlson (Brittany) and Kayla Hruskoci (Mike); her grandchildren, Gray and Orin; and her siblings, Roxanne Brandes (Evan), Minette Malm (Mike), Dan McHargue, Randy Carlson (Lorraine), Barry Carlson, Kent Carlson (Deb) and Mark Carlson (Mel). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Merrick County Child Development Center and the Central City Library.
