He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Garrett and Florence Garrett (Galley); his siblings, Onilee Weller, Marlene Allmendinger, Orville Garrett and Marvin Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Elmer Allmendinger, Kenneth Weller, Mervin, Marvin Luschei and Janet Luschei; his close friend Cindy Houchin; his daughter-in-law Edith Garrett (Perkins); his nephew Kevin Allmendinger; his great-nephews, Kurt Hemmann and Blaine Weller; and his great-niece Lisa Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Bradley Garrett, Tracey Gifstad (Allen), Russell Garrett (Virginia) and Myron Garrett (Deb); and his siblings-in-law, Marj Garrett, Thomas Hilmer and Patsy Johnson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Solt-Wagner Funeral Home (1507 17th St, Central City, NE 68826). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fairview United Methodist Church (2398 13th Rd, Central City, NE 68826).
