We announce the death of Ruth M. Gillan of Central City, Nebraska, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 90. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Ellison and Deva Ellison (Lindgreen); her siblings, Jarold and Shirley Jean; and her son-in-law Tim Way.
She is survived by: her children, Kenton Gillan (Chelle) of Central City and DeAnna Gillan Way of Central City; her granddaughters, Emily Pfeil (Blake) of Omaha, Isabella Peterson (Jonah) of Milford and Katrina Gomez of Omaha; and her great grandchild Merritt Peterson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
