He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Gardener and Harry Gardener Jr.; his wife Leslie; and his nephew Curtis Gardener. He is survived by: his siblings, David Gardener (Helen Gardener) of Cary and Shirley Bauer of Rapid City; his children, Paula Toy and Duane Gardener (Carrie Gardener); his grandson Brannon Gardener (Taylor Parson); his great grandchild Milo Gardener; and his close friend Sandi Anderson.
Retiring in 2009, Clark remained deeply engaged in his community, volunteering with RSVP, Meals on Wheels, Kiwanis, and the Chadron VFW Honor Guard, an organization especially close to his heart as a proud veteran.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Chadron VFW Honor Guard.
