He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Joseph O'Rourke and Jean O'Rourke (Moeller); his wife Lora Hawkins of Ophir; his children, Shannon, Seth, Valerie and Keith (Denia O'Rourke); his grandson Charles (Sonja O'Rourke); his brother Jack (Mary O'Rourke); his nephews, Mark and Michael; his sister Janice (Jeff Cowger); his nephew Matthew; and his daughter Carrie. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Country Club (61 Country Club Rd, Chadron, NE 69337).
