We announce the death of Steve Serres of Chadron, Nebraska, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 73. Steve will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Steve will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Steve will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Steve’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lyle Serres and Beverly Serres (Coleman); and his sister Caron. He is survived by: his wife Billie Serres; and his children, Terry Serres (JoDee), John Serres and Stephanie Casey (John). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chamberlain Chapel (1700 US-20, Chadron, NE 69337).
