He was predeceased by: his parents, John Crabtree and Viola Crabtree (Pueppke); his wife Marge Crabtree; his son Craig Crabtree; his siblings, Eugene Crabtree and Janice Pahl; his parents-in-law, Marion and Grace Brewster; his son-in-law Robert Talbitzer; and his granddaughter Breckyn Crabtree.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Crabtree (Dee) of Chambers, NE, Doug Crabtree (Linda) of Johnstown, CO, Roxanne Talbitzer of Kearney, NE, Monte Crabtree (Ellen) of Louisville, KY, Kay Crabtree of Lincoln, NE and Cyndi Heddleston (Steve) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Kami Madsen (Shane), Landon Crabtree (Andrea), Trenton Talbitzer (Sarah), Grahm Talbitzer (Shay), Lyndee Whalen (Mitch), Logan Crabtree, Joshua Crabtree (Brittany), Ethan Crabtree, Kyla Lovejoy (Jacob) and Grayson Crabtree; and his brothers, Darrell Crabtree (Carole) and John Crabtree (Barb). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (505 Williams St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM.
