He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gartner and Mary Gartner (Maly); his grandchildren, Jarod Bromwich and Autumn Matthews; his siblings, Leslie Gartner, Donald Gartner (Beverly), Mary Lou Butts (James) and Anna Mae Porter; and his brother-in-law Stan Watson.
He is survived by: his son Ronald Gartner (family: Sharon Jones, Billy Gartner, Lori Persson, Chrystal Curtis, Robby Gartner, Jessie Matthews, Cody Gartner); his close friend Roxanne Rustemeyer-Gartner; his grandchildren, Ashley Bromwich (Ryan), Natasha Johnson (Jordan), Ceara Curtis, Levi Curtis, Austin Johnson, Jaci Johnson, William Gartner, Archer Matthews and Penelope Gartner; his sister Betty Watson of O'Neill; his brother-in-law Charles Porter of Fremont; and his pet Blackbird. He is also survived by his family, Sharon Jones and her family, Billy Gartner and his family, Lori Persson and her family.
