She is survived by: her parents, Chad Ackerson and Erin Ackerson (John); her sister Emily (Andrew Timmons); her niece Raelynn Lou; her sister Rylee Ackerson; her uncle Adam (Jolene John); her cousins, Madison, Maly, Lauryn, Ellie, Annaston, Bobbi and Denny Ackerson; her uncle Brian (Amber Ackerson); and her cousins, Aubrey and Brennan.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (425 Amity St, Clarks, NE 68628). A rosary was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Grand Island Humane Society in Payton's name, or to consider adopting a pet from there.
