He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jr. Schank and Jean Schank (Davis); his brother Gary Schank; and his brother-in-law Steve Wishart. He is survived by: his wife Julia Schank of Clarks, Nebraska; his children, Mike Schank and Brandy Schank of Lincoln; his grandson Sebastian; his daughter Andrea Jones (Austin) of Omaha; his grandchildren, Jocelyn and Leah; his son Brad Schank (Nicole) of Junction City; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Emma; his child Morgan Schank of Central City; his sister Vicki Wishart of Aurora; and his stepdaughters, Ange Klute (Scott, family: Kaylee Frey, Brady, Shayna) and April Kelley (Bobby, family: Lane, Lincoln, Lindee). He is also survived by three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Legion, River Rats Association, or the Nebraska Airboaters Association.
