He was predeceased by: his parents, Lad Kabes and Edith Kabes (Jedlicka); his parents-in-law, Lumir and Mary Barta; his siblings, Leonard Kabes and Janice Rueschhoff (Leo); his siblings-in-law, Donna Eusterweimann, Harold Suchan, Wilfred Wiese, Norbert Barta, Raymond Brabec and Marvin Stevens; and his nephews, Richard Suchan, Gregg Rueshhoff, Robert Wiese and Jeff Brabec.
He is survived by: his wife Almarine Barta of Clarkson; his children, Tom Kabes (Sue) of Clarkson, Tim Kabes (Deb) of Stanton, Tamara Tanner of Fremont, Todd Kabes (Laurie) of San Antonio and Teresa Woodward (Scott) of Grand Island, NE.; his sisters, Marcella Suchan, Margie Wiese and Elaine Snyder (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Kabes, Anita Steffensmeier (Alvin), Carolyn Barta and Walter Eusterweimann. He is also survived by 10 grand-children and 13 great-grand-children.
Memorials are suggested to Clarkson Catholic Cemetery or Clarkson Christian Daycare.
