We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Elbert James VonSpreckelsen of Clay Center, Nebraska. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Spreckelsen and Bertha Von Spreckelsen (Hoyt); his wife Dorothy "Dot" Kluver; his brother Robert; and his son Roger Von Spreckelsen.

He is survived by: his daughter Irene Von Spreckelsen (Kevin McMurry) of Lincoln, NE; his granddaughters, Mary Pellatz (Doug), Ann Kemper and LeAnn Cooksley (LaVerne) of Worthington, IA; his great grandchildren, Matt, Sarah Cooksley, Cliff and Kelly Schanbeck; his daughter Holly Christensen (Jeff) of Dannebrog, NE; his grandchildren, Joshua, Supra Parthasarathy Christensen and Jacob Christensen (Mikayla Olson); his sister Ruth Livgren; Leland, Harlynn, Alex, Jared, Ryan and Jase. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later.
