He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Swanson and Ethel Swanson (Carlson); his wife Jean Swanson; his sister Roma Engdahl; and his great grandchild William Christopher Fromm.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Fromm (Bill) of LaBelle, Florida, Lisa Egle (Kelly) of Paxton, Nebraska, Russell Swanson (Amy) of Lathrop, Missouri and Roger Swanson (Anne) of Colon, Nebraska.; his grandchildren, Kate DiMartino (Carmine), Tim Fromm, Cody Egle (Andrea), Lane Egle (Lynn), Sara Swanson, Jessica Swanson and Caden Swanson; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Quinn and Rory Egle; and his grandchildren, Nash, Maysa Egle, Michael and Antonio DiMartino.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home (911 N Linden St, Wahoo, NE 68066). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (981 W 15th St, Wahoo, NE 68066). A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Sunrise Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saunders County Medical Center Foundation or to First Presbyterian Church.
