He was predeceased by: his parents, James Channer and Margaret Channer Sr.; his wife Nana Channer; and his siblings, James Jr., Robert, Betty and Harry.

He is survived by: his sons, Dan Channer (Marla) of Cedar Falls, IA, Tim Channer of Lincoln, NE, Paul Channer (Beverly) of Columbus, NE and Scott Channer (Katrina). He is also survived by Four grandchildren Nine great-grandchildren.
