He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wentz and Rachel Wentz (Harms); his siblings, Robert Wentz, Larry Wentz and Marilyn Wentz; his siblings-in-law, Joan Wentz, Elaine Wentz, Nancy Wentz, Alyce Wilken, Ervin Wilken, James Wilken and Ronald Schmidt; and his nephew Adam Wilken.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Wentz of Columbus; his children, Jason Wentz (Sandra) of Rifle, CO, Damon Wentz (Amberlee) of Brule and Nicole Wentz-Boutin (Tyson) of Martel; his grandchildren, Brittnee Eickmeier (Thomas), Jessalyn Kreutzer, Karissa Bourget (Mark), Keegan Wentz, Skylar Wentz, Makiah Wentz, Kyann Wentz, Kaleb Wentz and Casen Wentz; his great grandchildren, Macy, Marshall and Syrus; his siblings, Donald Wentz of Adams, Kenneth Wentz (Ardis) of Sterling, Delores Cooper (Don) of Firth and Linda Goracke (John) of Tecumseh; and his siblings-in-law, LaVerne Wilken (Lou) of Talmage, Roy Wilken of Sterling, Duane Wilken (Mary) of Sterling, Beverly Schmidt of Eagle and Lola Wentz of Sterling. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Immanual Lutheran Church (60798 NE-41, Sterling, NE 68443). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
