We announce the death of Dennis Garretson of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on October 21, 2026. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Garrteson and Ervin Garrteson; his sons, Bruce Lee and Tony Wayne; his siblings, Rex, Morris and Louise; and his former wife Bonnie Mustard.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Anderson; and his children, Allen, Debra, Justin, JayDe, Bryan, Brandy, Bridget, Timmy and Christy. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McKown Funeral Home - Columbus (2922 13th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (2710 14th St, Columbus, NE 68601).
