He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thompson and Jessica Thompson; his father-in-law Warren Kennedy; and his brother-in-law Bud Budnick. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Jess of Lemoyne and Cassidee Grubaugh (Eric) of Wellington, CO; his grandson Jack; his siblings, Carol Budnick of North Platte, Rosalie Thurber of Tigard, OR, Donna Stewart of Lincoln, Madeline Shewmaker (Ron) of Sutherland, Bob Thompson (Nadine), Dwight Thompson (Michal) of Sutherland, Jerry Thompson (Cindy) of North Platte and Dennis Thompson (Robin Buttrick) of Lemoyne; his mother-in-law Gerry Kennedy; his brothers-in-law, Larry Kennedy (Annette) of Sutherland and Ken Kennedy (Renee) of Sutherland; and his brother Bill Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family; and his special friends, D-Troop brothers.
