He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Thelen and Naomi Thelen (Clobes); his daughter Stacey Thelen; his brother Benny Thelen; and his brother-in-law Larry Waller.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Sandee Kiesel (Kurt) of Wilber, NE, Steve Thelen (Juli) of Columbus, NE, Scott Thelen (Joanie) of Wilber, NE and Shon Thelen (Heather Hipp) of Fulda, MN; his grandchildren, Sydnee Jauken (Kameron), Savanna Epp (Garrett), Sheyenne Kiesel, Konner Kiesel, Zach Thelen (Emma Lubker), Mitchell Thelen, Claire Thelen, Sage Thelen, Stone Thelen, Star Thelen, Slate Thelen and Steel Thelen; his great grandchildren, Kade, Sophie, Grace, Jasper and Sterling; his siblings, George Thelen (Cindy) and Deanna Waller; and his sister-in-law Gaylene Thelen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
