It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Blezek of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W, II and Hazel Blezek (Everson); his parents-in-law, Thomas E and Donna L Benson (Humiston); and his brothers-in-law, Donald and David Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Blezek of Columbus, NE; his children, Donald Blezek of Norfolk, NE, Lydia Blezek Rabinowitz of Council Bluffs, IA and Nathan Blezek of Cheyenne, WY; his brother Ronald Blezek (Shirley Williams) of Egg Harbor, NJ.; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Reynolds (Billy) of Barnegat, NJ., Thomas Benson (Lori Rhodes) of Missoula, MT, Tim Benson of Cheyenne, WY and Pamela Schneider (Alan). He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren.
