He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schaer and Margaret Schaer (Reinke); his parents-in-law, John and Martha Navrkal; and his brothers, Marvin Schaer and Dwayne Schaer.
He is survived by: his wife Rogene Schaer; his children, Kim Webster, Tracy Yost (Chad) and Adam Schaer (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Katie Medley (Trent), Ashlynn Gronenthal (Brayden), Annya Webster, Quintin Yost, Silas Yost, Cora Schaer and Atticus Schaer; and his great grandchild Cooper Medley.
