We bid farewell to Lenore Backes of Columbus, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Lenore touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Borer and Irene Albracht; her sisters, Betty Wessel and Donna Zach; and her brothers-in-law, Jim Wessel and Ken Risk.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Backes; her children, Diane Foote (Kirk) of Boise, ID, Gary (Renee) of Sparta, TN and Becky Fickenworth (Jon) of Cincinnati, OH; her great grandchildren, Dick Borer (Marge) of Columbus, Kathy McCauley (Dave) of Phoenix, AZ, Marie Glause (Paul) of St. Paul, Jim Borer of Lincoln, Joan Jahn (Steve) of Columbus and Bonita Risk of Kimball; and her brother-in-law Bob Zach of Humphrey. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
