With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn A Jacobsen of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on June 20, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivar Hultman and Anna Hultman (Helstrom); her daughter Judy Kathleen; and her siblings, Junelayne Hultman, Victoria Forman, Lorraine Spencer, Eleanor Cornelius and Arnold Hultman.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Jacobsen of Columbus, NE; her children, Pamela McKain (Ron) of North Platte, NE and Randy Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; her son-in-law John Powell of Des Moines, IA; and her stepchildren, Valorie Davis (Brian) of California Nine and Stephen Jacobsen of California Nine. She is also survived by Nine Grandchildren One Step-Granddaughter 13 Great Grandchildren Five Great-Great-Grandchildren (with one on the way) Three nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2200 25th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Paws & Claws of Columbus or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
