With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark German of Columbus, Nebraska, born in Humphrey, Nebraska, who passed away on July 2, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William German and Conradia German (Veik); his siblings, Gene German, Diane Anderson, William and Thomas; his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Norman Brandt; and his siblings-in-law, James Brandt, Dave Altmanshofer, Lavern Brandt and Ethel German.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy German of Lake Zurich, IL; his daughter Jody (Jim Blankenau); his grandchildren, Hans and Christoph; his children, Jenny (Bruce Polnicky) of Bellevue, WA and Tom (Tania) of Cary, IL; his grandchildren, Alexis of Lincoln, NE and Justice; his siblings, Marlene Altmanshofer of Gilbert, AZ, Lois Logan (Marshall) of Lincoln, NE, Louis German of North Bend, OR, Kathy Jackson (Jay) of Columbus, NE and Barb Nelson (Brad) of Bullhead City, AZ; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Anderson of Columbia, MO and Gene Brandt (Jana) of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by Many nephews and nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark's memory to St. Bonaventure church, American Legion Hartman Post #84, and Alzheimer's research for a cure.
