As Marlene departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marlene. Though Marlene may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Husband and Cecelia Ternus Husband (Jim McDermott); and her siblings, Vic Ternus, Steve Ternus and Teresa Otto.
She is survived by: her brothers, Jim Ternus (Jane) and Leonard Ternus (Jane). She is also survived by Sister-in-law – Cindy Ternus Many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (203 S 5th St, Humphrey, NE 68642). A vigil service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
