He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael M. Placzek and Mary D. Placzek (Laska); and his son Steven. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Pickhinke; his children, Tom (Kathy) of Columbus, NE, Jerry (Bev) of Lincoln, NE, Mark (Tammy) of Elkhorn, NE, Jim (Lori) of Elkhorn, NE, Paul (Pamm) of Allen, TX, Joan Gubbels (Doug) of Columbus, NE, Ann Lindquist (Lance) of Wichita, KS, Sharon Carlson (Everett) of Fremont, NE, Mary Boyle (John) of Allen, TX, Karla Jones (Tim) of Austin, TX and Chris Sommers (Noel) of Papillion, NE; and his daughter-in-law Barb Placzek. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of plants and flowers, Memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Church or School or to the Simon House.
