Rodney L. Chinn Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney L. Chinn of Columbus, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rodney L. Chinn to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard K. Chinn and Irene M. Chinn (Thurstonson); his stepfather Floyd Frizzell (Carol Frizzell); and his siblings-in-law, Ben Liss, Edward Liss, Mary and Jim Kosek.
He is survived by: his wife Helena Hansen (Liss); his stepdaughter Lori Bartels (Paul); his stepgranddaughter Shea of Merritt Island, FL.; his stepson Steve Hansen (Kim); his stepgrandchildren, Hunter, Riley and Deagan of Bethany, MO; his stepgreat-grandson Kaid; his brother Randy Chinn (Gay) of Columbus; his stepbrothers, Larry Frizzell (Melody) and Bruce Frizzell (Karen) of Silver Creek; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Liss (Peggy) of Aurora, CO., Jan Liss of Columbus and Patricia Liss of Fullerton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (3921 20th St, Columbus, NE 68601). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
