Roger Garbers Obituary

The memory of Roger Garbers of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on July 15, 2025 at the age of 75, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Barbers and Mary Barbers (Jackson); his daughter-in-law Carrie Garbers; and his sisters, Janet Garbers and Violet Garbers.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Garbers of Columbus, NE; his sons, Brad Garbers of Lincoln, NE and Craig Garbers of Columbus, NE; his stepgranddaughters, Krista and Kaitlynn Mayo; and his brother Fred Garbers (Pat). He is also survived by Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Park Church (4115 38th St, Columbus, NE 68601).

In lieu of flowers, plants, stones, etc., memorials are suggested to Highland Park Youth Ministry programs or the Columbus Rescue Mission.
