It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shirley Vetick of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 96, on May 8, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kauffman and Florence Kauffman (Poole); her husband Fred Vetick; her son John Adam; and her sisters, Ruth, Alice and Vivian.

She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Baker (Tim); her granddaughters, Tara Culley (Nathan) and Carla Miranda (Alberto); her daughter Peggy Harvey (George); her grandsons, George Jr. Harvey (Michele) and Matthew Harvey (Katrina); her daughter Christine Elm (Edwin); her grandsons, Adam Elm (Stacy), Austin Elm and Alden Elm; her son Timothy Vetick (Mary); her grandchildren, Molly Wirthele (Matt), Travis Vetick (Kylee), Maggie Vetick and Marissa Vetick; and her sister Marlene Sherlock. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (3921 20th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A vigil service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
