Virgil Chochon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Chochon (Columbus, Nebraska), who passed away on February 13, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alois Chochon and Barbara Chochon (Kosiba); his wife Elaine Eisenmenger of Columbus, NE; his children, Gary of San Jose, CA, Lori Klein (Michael) of Stromsburg, NE, Jeffrey of Portland, OR, Stephen (Jon) of Phoenix, AZ, Michael (Genice) of Omaha, NE and Catherine of Salida, CO; and his sisters, Irene Backes of Columbus, NE and Margaret Chochon of Colorado Springs, CO. He was also cherished by 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
Twenty-three years later he retired in Columbus where he facilitated the Parkinson's support group for six years, and volunteered for three years at St. Vincent's.
