With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Gerald Leimer of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on June 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Ernst and Alta Gertie Leimer (Vollmer); his wife Myrtle Alice Leimer; his daughter Susan Marie Leimer; and his brothers, Merlin Eugene and Terry Edward.

He is survived by: his sons, Alan E. Leimer (Sandra) of Mead, Paul M. Leimer (Joy) of Overland Park, KS and David B. Leimer of Columbus, NE; his siblings, Melvern D. Leimer (Rosi) of Temecula, Virgene M. Leimer of Columbus, NE and Carolyn I. Spadaro of Rocklin, CA; his grandchildren, Tyler Leimer, Allison Leimer, Elizabeth Leimer (Nate Jensen), Brian Leimer (Kelsey) and Andrea Leimer; and his great grandchild Lucia Jensen.
