He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Leaper and Maggie Leaper (Yott); and his siblings, Lanny Leaper, Nancy Leaper, Barbara Nelson and Ruth Haynes.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda of Cortland; his son Matthew Leaper (Megan) of Austin, TX; his stepchildren, Anthony Griess of Beatrice, Samuel Griess of Trinidad, CO, Rachael Griess of Roca and Don Griess of Clay Center; his adoptive daughter Lauren Van Beveren of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Elise, Sophia, Alexander, Liv, Bentyn, Maverick, Merrick, Daxtyn and Tallulah; and his sister Donna Soupene (William) of Beatrice. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established by the family for a future designation.
