He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Copass and Pauline Copass (Hall); his son Kenney; his sisters, Dianna Stoneking (Carl) and Debra Shipman; and his nephew John "Opi" Shipman.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Pflaster (Justin) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Christopher Sorge Pehringer (Adam) of Scottsbluff and Samantha Sorge (Shane Fife) of Kearney; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler and Kinsey Pflaster; his great grandchildren, Erika and Emilynn Sorge of Scottsbluff; his siblings, Jolene Gitter (David) and Larry Copass of Gothenburg; and his brother-in-law Gary Shipman.
