It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Gettert of Crawford, Nebraska, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Laible and Mary Laible (Kohle); her husband Glenn; her son James; and her siblings, Marie Laible Smedley, Sister Polly Laible, Sister Irene Laible, Theresa Laible Krysl, John Laible, Joe Laible, Leo Laible and Pat Laible.
She is survived by: her children, Elva Mahony (Pat) of Spalding, Gary Gettert (Kathy) of Hemingford, Patty Mahony (Kevin) of O'Neill, Lewis Gettert (Deb) of Douglas, WY, Mike Gettert (Katie) of Gillette, WY and Jeanine Hall of Ames, IA; and her brother Louis Laible (Marilyn) of Atkinson, NE.. She is also survived by 19 grand children; 36 great grand children.
