She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemol Montgomery and Roberta Ada Bartzatt. She is survived by: her husband George Arthur Leavitt. She is also survived by her daughter, son, four granddaughters, two sisters, one brother, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Church of Christ (440 E 12th St, Crete, NE 68333).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Capital Humane Society in Barbara's memory, reflecting her lifelong love for pets and her commitment to helping those in need.
