She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Skala and Rose Skala (Kouba); her son Austyn Jaroska of Crete; her stepfather Richard Kolarik; her husband David Mays; her siblings, Eugene, Ronnie Skala and Joyce Skala; and her nephew Terry Rahe.
She is survived by: her children, Ciji Mays of Wilber and Kyle Mays of Crete; her daughter-in-law Katelin Mays; her grandchildren, Jordan Baehr and William Mays; her siblings, Shirley Kobes (Allen Kobes), Bonnie Hartwig, JoAnn Strouf (Tom Strouf), Jeanette Collier, Virgil Skala and Dennis Kolarik; and her nieces and nephews, Shelby Skala, Annette Kobes, Lisa Kobes, Sheryl Yost, Melissa Roselli, Stacie Siebert, Sheila Goebel, Nicole Emeigh, Rodney Skala, Jeffery Skala, Scott Strouf, Dusty Ballance and Zac Skala.
