She is survived by: her daughter Deb Shaw (Nate); her grandsons, Landon and Connor; her sister-in-law Cheryl Mares; her niece Sheri Schuetze (Kevin); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Carter and Atley; her aunt Ruth Heiser; and her friend Dale Lawver.

Upon graduation, she worked at the Cerebral Foundation.
