He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Arens and Frances Arens (Tramp); his father-in-law Joe (Adelaide DeBlauw); his siblings, DelRae Luehrs, Debbie Loyd, Rick Arens and Kenny Arens; his siblings-in-law, Dee DeBlauw and Richard "Skeeter" Scherschligt; his nephew Jeff Luehrs; and his niece Karla Halle.
He is survived by: his wife Irma DeBlauw; his daughters, Sandra Adam, Sias and Joei Harris (Todd); his grandchildren, Samantha Adam, Reymond Sias, Emma Harris, Cody Harris and Kayla Harris; and his brother-in-law Steve Luehrs (Cheryl). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great‑nieces, and great‑nephews.
He spent 12 years on the Crofton City Council, where he helped create the Crofton Economic Development Committee and the Crofton Community Foundation Fund, work he was truly proud of.
