She was predeceased by: her parents, Florian Backman and Margaret Backman (Pinkelman); her husband Jerry; and her siblings, Butch Backman and Glendora Wieseler.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Thunker (Terri) of Yankton, Debbie Tangeman (Joe) of Bloomfield, Nebraska, Del Rae Abler of Remsen, Iowa and Dee Dee Tramp (Rodney) of Crofton, Nebraska. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (1314 W 5th St, Crofton, NE 68730). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A rosary was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
