He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Peitz and Josephine Peitz (Schaefer); his wife Arlis Rae; his children, Patty Peitz and Rick Peitz; his siblings, Richard, Raymond, Lawrence "Buddy" Peitz, Irene Wuebben and Jeanette Wieseler; and his brother-in-law Jerry Luft.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Peitz of Yankton, SD, Larry Peitz (Judy) of Crofton, Don Peitz (Jean) of Yankton, SD and Kevin Peitz (Pam) of Pierce; his grandchildren, Greg, Michael Joseph, Eric, Matt, Tom, Ricky Jr., Kristin, Michael Robert, Brandon, Jordan and Tiffani Peitz; and his sister Florence Luft. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
