She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman McShannon and Blossom McShannon (Hennings); her son Scott Eckhardt; her brothers-in-law, Dave Jones, Raymond Pool and Dan Eckhardt; and her parents-in-law, Alvin and Josephine Eckhardt.
She is survived by: her husband Chuck Eckhardt; her sons, Brad Eckhardt and Ryan Eckhardt of Crofton; her siblings, Mark McShannon of McCook, NE, Marcia Jones of Poulsbo, WA and Phyllis Dingman of Yankton, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Alan Dingman of Yankton, Chris Eckhardt of Creighton, NE, Paul Eckhardt of Coleridge, NE and Janelle Beckman of Dodge City, IA. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
