James Michael Troidl Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Michael Troidl Sr. of Dalton, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Michael Troidl Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Troidl and Mary "Lena" Troidl (Alber); his siblings, Rita (Bill Ormsby), Margerie (Louie Enriquez), Robert, LaVern and Leonard; his brother-in-law Rick Munshaw; his grandsons, Victor Parker and Bret Troidl; and also Earl.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Munshaw of Sidney, NE; his children, James Jr. (Katherine) of Lincoln, NE, John (Marge) of Atkinson, NE, Patricia Keenan of Dalton, NE, Paula (Roland Parker) of Dalton, NE and Pam (Shayne Coker) of Little Elm, TX; and his sister Irene Egging of St. Augustine. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel (1140 10th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162). A rosary was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (718 Francis St, Dalton, NE 69131). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church - Dalton (718 Francis St, Dalton, NE 69131).
Memorials may be given to the Dalton Volunteer Fire Department or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dalton, NE.
