He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Kroeger and Evelyn Kroeger (Schimmer); his brother Harlan; and his siblings-in-law, MaryAnn Kroeger and Ron Shukis.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Kroeger of Dannebrog; his son John Kroeger of Dannebrog; his grandsons, Kaleb and Kaden Kroeger; his son Wade; his daughter-in-law Melinda Kroeger of Dannebrog; his grandchildren, Morgan Semm, Weston Kroeger and Wyler Kroeger; his son Andy; his daughter-in-law Ann Kroeger of Dannebrog; his grandchildren, Kristen Greenough (Jacob), Matthew Kroeger and Joseph Kroeger (Makenna Beberniss); his great grandchild Edward Greenough; and his siblings-in-law, LaJean Kroeger, Diana Shukis, Marvin and Marlene Caspersen.
