It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell McCray Powers of Dannebrog, Nebraska, who passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell, Sr. and Opal (Olmsted); and his brother Harold Ford (Jerry Winget). He is survived by: his wife Shari Powers (Kister); his children, Brian Powers (Tammy), Tony Powers, Amanda Ryan and Mat Kister; his siblings, Josie Ford, Don Olmsted, Marlene Powers Snyder and Judy Leahy; his siblings' children, Alex Ford (Karen), Mike Ford (Anne), Todd Ford (Becky), Travis Ford (Deon), Matt Ford (Becky), Roseanne Olmsted and Jason Olmsted; and his grandchildren, Brittany Powers, Justin "Spencer" Powers, Jacob Stermer, Tyler Stermer, Brianna "Sweet Pea" Sager, Parker Jantze, Elijah Anderson, Silas Anderson, Winget, Wilson, Greenwald, Evans, Berger and Seldon.
