She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Fozzard and Anna Fozzard (Thelen); her husband Robert Gillespie; her siblings, Helen Augustin (Glen) and Lawrence Fozzard; and her great grandchildren, Abel Mooberry and Liam Romshek.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Gillespie (Jean) of Mount Vernon, WA, Vickie Kerkman (Dale) of David City, NE, Jeanette Hain (Jim) of Johnson Lake, NE, Rich Gillespie (Mary) of Shelby, NE, Bill Gillespie (Bev) of Rising City, NE and Cherie Kobza (Ray) of David City, NE. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (210 Walnut St, Shelby, NE 68662). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. Viewing was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the American Legion Hall North Walnut.
