He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Beran and Elsie Beran (Novotny); his parents-in-law, Grace (Lottman) and Wilhelm Baumfalk; and his siblings-in-law, Gene (Carole Beran), Elaine, Jack Erdmann and Nancy Lillie.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Lee Beran (Baumfalk); his son Scott (Linda); his grandchildren, Elnora, Adeline and Tyler (Madison Thompson) of Lincoln, NE.; his daughter Michele (Terry Pella); his grandchildren, Rachel of Kansas City, MO., Grant of Kansas City, MO. and Emily of Kansas City, MO.; his niece Vicki (Joel Wooton) of Diller; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley (Robert Waid), Lindsey (Darrell Headrick) of Lincoln, NE and Whitney (Bryan Dulaney) of Fountain, CO.; his siblings-in-law, Judy and Bill Holliger of Diller; Liam and Isla of Diller. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (121 Lavelle St, Diller, NE 68342). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Prairie Home Cemetery (71100 581st Ave, Diller, NE 68342).
The family suggests memorials to the church, Prairie Home Cemetery or the Rural Diller Fire District in care of the funeral home.
