He was predeceased by: his parents, William Niewohner and Bertha Niewohner (Hunke); his siblings, Joe Niewohner (Myrna), Erwin Niewohner (Jerry), Mary Ann Kluthe (Daniel), Betty Cech, Leo Niewohner (Yvonne) and Virgil Niewohner; and his in-laws, Jim McNamara, Dale Ruskamp, Janelle Kaup and Marla Ruskamp.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kay Niewohner of Dodge, NE; his daughter Michelle (Bob Nickloy); his grandchildren, Ava and Nick; his great grandchild Gwen; his grandson Matt Schreiner of Spring Hill, KS; his great grandchildren, Eddie (Kate) and Burk; his grandson Hank; his great grandchild Rhonda; his grandson Colby Coash of Lincoln, NE; his son Cole; his siblings, Rosemary McNamara of Beemer, NE, Marcy (Mel Ortmeier), Jan (Loren Batenhorst), Dan (Jeanette Niewohner) and Rita (Vern Ortmeier); his in-laws, Karen Niewohner of Snyder, NE, Dave, Reldine Ruskamp of Sargeant Bluff, IA and Paul "Skip" Kaup of Las Vegas, NV; and his nibling Bernie.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to Snyder Fire and Rescue, Dodge Fire and Rescue, or to a charity of your choosing in Bernie's name.
