He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander "Lee" George and Margaret Frances Kluthe (Schneider); his wife Doris Jean Thille; his siblings, Marvin Kluthe, Geraline Barth-Damme and Margaret Ann Kluthe; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Verona Thille (Dietering).
He is survived by: his children, Paula Heim (Scott) of Harrisburg, SD, Carla Quinn (Pat) of Centennial, CO, Leigh Kluthe of Elgin, NE, Erick Kluthe (Julie) of Flower Mound, TX, David Kluthe (Pamala) of Roseville, CA, Corey Kluthe (Betsy) of Colorado Springs, CO and AJ Kluthe (Alison) of Pilger, NE; his siblings, Bernard Kluthe (Diane) of Elgin, NE, Linda Schindler of Norfolk, NE and Mary Bergstrom of Norfolk, NE; and his sister-in-law Joan Wentworth of San Jose, CA.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church - Elgin (301 S 2nd St, Elgin, NE 68636). A wake was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
