With sadness, we share the passing of Kenneth G. Bode of Elgin, Nebraska. Kenneth, born on April 13, 1954, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Gilbert and Delores Marie Bode (Jochum); and his brothers, Delbert Jr. and Jeff Bode. He is survived by: his wife Barb Bode of Elgin, NE; his sons, Cody Bode (Meghan Votta) of Norfolk, NE, Tyler Bode (Hannah) of Wann, OK and Jake Bode of Verdigre, NE; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Highsmith (Aubrey) of Nowata, OK, Harris, Lucas Bode of Wann, OK, Malleigh, Everleigh, Stella and Berkley Bode of Norfolk, NE; and his siblings, Doris Rusnak of Wisconsin, Pat Burgert (John "Red") of Table Rock, NE, Stan Bode of Elgin, NE, Clay Bode of Ord, NE, Charlie Bode (Shelley) of Elgin, NE and Doug Bode (Jean) of Burwell, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Levander Funeral Home of Elgin (107 Pine St, Elgin, NE 68636). A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church - Elgin (301 S 2nd St, Elgin, NE 68636).
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
