He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Vermeline; his son Brent; his daughter-in-law Lesley Karstens of Elkhorn; his daughter Kari; his son-in-law Alan Pokorski of Gretna; his grandchildren, Emerson, Miller Karstens, Landon, Avery and Crash Pokorski; his siblings, Dennis Karstens of Overland Park, KS, Marvin Karstens (Barbara) of Bryan, TX, Diane Carnine (Randy) of Grinnell, IA and Carlene Potthoff (Dave) of Auburn, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Denise Allen (Cal) of Garland, NE, Kristie Lynch (Bob) and Lisa Vasa (Butch) of Camdenton, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
